Summary

In this chapter, I showed you how to create pages and forms, and we explored the major design elements for pages and forms. There are many similarities, but here are the fundamental differences. Pages are self-contained elements that typically will hold HTML formatting. They can contain graphics, tables, hotspots, text, and several other objects. You can create the HTML with another editor and import the HTML into Domino Designer.

Forms are used in conjunction with documents. Documents store data, and forms contain user interface elements called fields. This enables the user interface to be defined separately from the data. When you view a form and document combination, you are actually viewing the data items from the document filling in the fields on the form. If you enter information into the fields, they will be stored back into the document.
