Configuring an HP e3000 system is fairly straightforward, but you do have to know your way around a few different tools in order to get everything set up. This chapter will look at the various hardware components of an HP e3000 system and will describe the I/O path structure MPE uses to address each device. We will explore how tools such as SYSGEN, NMMGR, VOLUTIL, and IOCONFIG work together to allow peripherals and network devices to communicate with the HP e3000.
