Chapter 12. Programming

A thorough explanation of the skills and techniques required to write full-blown HP e3000 application programs would be beyond the scope of this book. Many system administrators are also programmers, but not all. Nevertheless, good system administrators need at least a basic understanding of how programs work on their systems. So, here is an overview of some essential programming topics as they relate to MPE/iX, and a brief overview of some specific programming languages that can be used on the HP e3000.
