Chapter 11. Compiler Optimization

One technique for improving performance in executable code is optimization at the compiler and linker levels. Compiler optimization creates machine code that is more efficient for each unit of compilation. Linker level optimization can create more efficient programs at higher levels than that of the compilation unit. Here are the topics covered in this chapter:
