This is replaced by a symbolic link pointing to: $SYSSYMA/pp/&DB2VER. This absolute symlink specification is resolved by using the system-specific value for the system symbol &DB2VER. This is /pp/DB2V7 in SC65 and /pp/DB2V8 in SC70. A second symbolic link named db2 is provided in directory /pp to allow direct access to the right DB2 directory in /pp without the need to know what is the the correct local DB2 version.
