Summary

In this hour you learned how to perform some basic image tasks, such as reading and writing image files and displaying images in a collection in a user interface. Additionally, you learned how to perform incredibly powerful and complex image effects and filters with very little code by leveraging the Core Image framework. Finally, in this hour you built an application that reads in normal image files and saves their grayscale counterparts to disk, further illustrating how simple and accessible image processing power is on Mac OS X Lion.
