7.2. Setting up a SharePoint Business Intelligence Center

To get started you’ll need to create a Business Intelligence Center. This will ensure that you have all the correct tools available for you to work with the functionality that you’re going to configure in this chapter. When you first create the site, you’ll notice some reading material, which you can read to help you understand all the capabilities that are available to you:

1	Choose Site Actions > New Site.
2	Filter by Site and select Business Intelligence Center. Note: SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure and Performance-Point Services Site Collection Features should be activated to see the Business Intelligence Center.
3	Enter a name and URL and click Create.
