Networks have become so ubiquitous that they are completely taken for granted. It’s only when the network goes missing that anyone notices. And do they notice! The cries of panic and dismay can be heard at great distances because the central task of a network is to provide users with everything they need and clear away clutter that hampers their progress. What they need includes access to the files, folders, applications, printers, and Internet connections that users require to do their jobs. What they don’t need is any trouble getting at these items.
