Right-click on the DCS you just created, and select New Data Collector. 9. Name the new data collector as desired. 10. Select the Performance Counter Alert option, and click Next. 11. On the next screen of the Create New Data Collector Wizard, add each performance counter for which you want to configure alerts. 12. Set the alert threshold to above or below the appropriate value, and click Next. 13. Click Finish to complete the creation process. 14. Right-click on the newly created Data Collector, and select Properties. 15. Configure the Alert Action and Alert Task tabs as desired, and then click OK.
