Performing Searches

One of the most powerful features within the Server 2012 GUI is search. To search for an app, from the Start screen, just start typing. The search results screen will display a list of relevant matches. Figure 3-12 shows the search results displayed when you type task.

You can pull up the Search screen by clicking Search from the Charms menu. From there you can search for apps or files and even do web searches.

Within the desktop, you can perform searches as in Server 2008 R2 by opening the Windows Explorer icon pinned to the taskbar and typing in the Search field.
