Introduction

Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) is the answer to all of your problems as long as they are centered on patch management. Patch management is the systematic application of updated code to operating systems and certain Microsoft applications, to repair a defect until the next version of the operating system or application is released. WSUS is the updated version of Software Update Services (SUS), and can be used to manage the download, approval, scheduling, targeting, and deployment of updates to recent versions of Windows and a range of Microsoft desktop and server applications.
