Getting Help

The goal of this book is not to cover every possible switch and every possible command. Instead, the goal is to give you the common commands you’ll use on the job and need to know for the Windows 7 exams. If you work with Windows 7 long enough, there will come a time when you’ll need a little more information.

Thankfully, the command prompt includes a lot of built-in help if you know how to use it. For example, if you enter just help, you’ll get a list of commands that you can enter at the command line.
