Pinning the Command Prompt to the Start Menu and the Taskbar
If you regularly use the command prompt, you can pin it to the Start menu and the taskbar. If you pin it to the taskbar, it’ll appear next to the Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, and Windows Media Player shortcut links on your taskbar. This makes it easier to access when you need it. To pin it to the taskbar or the Start menu, do the following:
Click Start, type cmd in the Start Search box, right-click CMD, and choose either Pin to Taskbar or Pin to Start Menu.
Choose Start, All Programs, Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and choose either Pin to Taskbar or Pin to Start Menu.
If Command Prompt is on the Start menu, click Start, right-click Command Prompt, and choose either Pin to Taskbar or Pin to Start Menu.
