Chapter 13. Removable Disk Drives: The Computer's Front Door

On the front of your computer's system unit, you'll usually find two slots. The smaller one is for floppy disks, and the larger one is for CD-ROMs or DVDs. Some computers have both a DVD drive and a CD-RW drive. Both can read software and music on CD-ROMs, but you can use the CD-RW drive to create your own CDs and the DVD drive to play movies on DVDs.
