Click (or double-click) the Network Neighborhood icon that appears on the Desktop, or click Network Neighborhood in the Explorer folder list. You can also select Network Neighborhood from the Address list in My Computer. You will see a list of servers available to you.

Besides the servers, you also can click or (double-click) the Entire Network icon. The workgroups on the network appear in the list. All servers are grouped into named workgroups for easier separation of departments. Many times there will be only a single workgroup.

Click (or double-click) on a specific workgroup icon. The servers on that workgroup appear in the listing.

To view the contents of a particular server, click (or double-click) it. You'll see the shared folders and printers attached to the network on the server (see Figure 28.1).
