Using Scroll Bars

Scroll bars appear along the bottom or the right edge of a window when the window contains more text, graphics, or icons than it can display.

Using scroll bars, you can move up, down, left, or right in a window. Figure 2.3 shows an example. Because all of the hard drive window's contents are not fully visible in the window, the scroll bars are present on the right side and the bottom of the window.
