Managing Devices

To begin managing a device, right-click the device to see the options available for that device (see Figure 5.2). By using Devices and Printers and the right-click menu, you can access parts of the Windows 7 interface that would’ve required moving through many different menus in previous editions of Windows. The following sections provide you with a quick guide to managing the most common devices that you’ll find in the Devices and Printers dialog.

Computer

Your computer is listed by its computer name in Devices and Printers. The following sections describe the options you can choose from the right-click menu.
