Transferring Files and Settings from Another PC

If you’re now using a new PC with Windows Vista but don’t want to leave your existing files, favorites, and other settings behind, use Windows Easy Transfer to move your information from your old computer using Windows XP to your new computer. Windows Easy Transfer can also transfer files (but not program settings) from a computer running Windows 2000. In this tutorial, we’ll use Windows Easy Transfer to perform a transfer from a system using Windows XP to your new system over a network connection.
