•View records of Web sites visited, applications used, and chat buddies contacted by the user (click Logs in the Apps view, Web view, or People view).
An Internet helper application opens URLs sent to it from another application, typically after you click the URL in that other application. For example, your computer might be set up so that when you click a Web URL (they begin with http://) in an application like TextEdit, it opens in Safari, while when you click a mail URL (they begin with mailto:) it opens in Mail in the form of a new pre-addressed message.
The settings that pair Internet helpers with URL types are kept in a file to which Apple provides no interface; however, you can download a third-party preference pane that lets you access these settings directly:
