At the end of Step 3, I provided the specific dashboard readings near the March 2009 lows so that you could see firsthand how to use and interpret the signals. Likewise, to provide you with similar insight near a market top, I’ve selected the last top in October 2007 to again illustrate the dashboard’s usefulness and timeliness. To get the most out of this review, refer to the charts from Chapter 5 or instead bring them up on your computer. Note that if you are using the free version of stockcharts.com for specific charts, remember that the charts only go back three years so, depending upon when you pull up the charts, the data for 2007 may not be available. Earlier data requires a subscription, as mentioned in that chapter.
