Waiting

We all spend too much time waiting—for appointments, for meetings to begin, for others to complete something, for airplanes, and as we commute. Opportunities exist to make better use of this waiting time.

“Waiting” time need not be wasted time. Two approaches will help: First, don’t spend unreasonable time waiting for others with whom you have appointments. If you go to someone’s office and are not received promptly, leave word with a secretary to call you when your party is ready and return to your office.
