As you have seen, technology does not necessarily help you accomplish tasks. Often, technology is a major distraction.

There are simple, old-fashioned methods you can use to get organized and be more efficient. As I will explain in detail in chapter 7, you really can't manage time—you have to manage yourself. You can and must control the elements in your environment that cause you to procrastinate.
