    Chapter 20. EXPORTING > Understanding Exporting

    Understanding Exporting

    There are several steps to exporting files. Each of the steps controls different aspects of the final output.

    To export files:

    1.
    Set the optimization settings as desired. (See Chapter 15, "Optimizing.")

    2.
    Choose File > Export. This opens the Export dialog box.

    3.
    If the file does not contain slices or image maps, export the fle as a basic export.

    4.
    If the file contains slices, set the slicing controls (see the next page).

    5.
    If the file contains slices or image maps, set the HTML properties (see page 328).

    6.
    Navigate to set the location of the images created by slicing.

    7.
    Name the file.

    8.
    Click Save to export the files.
