Section A.16. Accessing Dialog Boxes During an Action

A.16. Accessing Dialog Boxes During an Action

When a component command involves a dialog box, you can determine whether or not it appears when you run the action. These commands display a box to the immediate left of the action name, which indicates the dialog box’s status. Commands without a dialog box, such as Image: Mode: Invert, lack this box.

When Open Dialog is turned on (a small icon is visible), the command’s dialog box appears when you play the action. This way, you can enter different values for a command without the need to record a new action. When Open Dialog is turned off, the dialog box is ignored, and the action uses the values that were entered when it was first recorded.
