Section A.21. Saving Actions

A.21. Saving Actions

You cannot save a single action—you can only save a set that contains at least one action. Users save sets for two reasons: To keep actions on their own hard drive for future loading, and to distribute actions to other users. Once saved, the set and all of its actions will appear in a single file, which you can later add to the Actions palette using one of the Load Actions commands. To save a set, follow these steps:

1.
Select the single set you wish to save. (If you select multiple sets or a single action, the Save Actions command is not available.)

2.
Choose Save Actions from the palette submenu.

3.
In the navigational window that appears, determine the location of the new set file.

4.
Click Save.
