Sketch Filters

Many of the Sketch filters produce a two-tone effect, taking the coloring from the Foreground and Background Colors. All 14 filters are available through the Filter Gallery, and many require their settings to be played with if you want to be left with a recognizable image. This section shows you clearly how the settings you choose vary the effect of the filter.

Introducing Bas Relief

The Bas Relief filter creates a sculpted impression of the image using the Foreground and Background Colors. The Foreground Color replaces the shadow areas, and the Background Color highlights areas in the image, which means that using the default colors creates a grayscale image, but you can change the colors. Adjusting the Light direction can make the image look as though it is either raised from the paper or indented.
