When iPhoto scans your photos for faces, it’s simply identifying photos that it thinks contains eyes, noses, and mouths. It’s up to you to tell iPhoto who those folks are—a process called naming a face.
Step 1. Select a photo containing a face you want to name.
You can select a photo’s thumbnail, or double-click the photo to display a larger version.
Step 2. Click the Info button.
Step 3. Hover over an unnamed face, or click the number of unnamed faces under Faces in the Information pane.
The photo appears with a box enclosing each face.
Name suggestions. As you type a name, iPhoto may display suggestions based on similarly spelled names that you’ve already provided.
