Introducing Lightroom catalogs and the Library module features

In this chapter we are going to take a first look at how the Lightroom catalog works and how to use the Library module controls to navigate and manage the photos in your catalog.

The Lightroom catalog is a key component of the Lightroom program. Lightroom’s underlying architecture and central database is designed to provide speed and flexibility when managing and viewing your photos.
