How to make use of the Book, Slideshow, and Web modules

This final chapter is all about how to present your photographs for output, either in the form of a book, slideshow, or Web gallery. The Book module is brand new to Lightroom and will allow you to produce professional-looking books.

The Slideshow module can be used to create slideshow presentations for business or personal use. These can be played on the computer directly or exported as self-contained presentations.

Despite the popularity of print, it is interesting to speculate just how few of the photographs we shoot actually do end up being printed. There was a time when people would take their film to the local photo lab to be processed and every picture would be printed. These days nearly everyone takes photographs using a digital camera or smartphone and instead of being shown prints, you are more likely to see people’s photos when they are sent as e-mail attachments, placed on a website, or shown on a mobile device. Lightroom’s Web module lets you create instant websites of your pictures, which can easily be uploaded to the Internet without having to leave Lightroom.
