My workflow generally starts from the time that I attach my camera’s memory card to my computer. I try not to let my images remain on a card for extended periods of time for fear that something might happen. That being said, I also like to back up my images as soon as possible using external hard drives, which usually takes place in Lightroom as part of the import process. Sometimes I back up to external hard drives in the field when I don’t have the time to sit at my computer and download or don’t have access to Lightroom, which is the case when I travel because I don’t like to take my larger laptop with me. Let’s kick off this chapter with some files I captured on my trip to Peru last fall.
