Putting Your Photos on the Map!

If this isn’t cool, I don’t know what is. Imagine being able to send friends or relatives to an online customized version of Yahoo! Maps, and when they click on a map pin, they see your photos and the exact location where they were taken on the map. Seriously, is that cool or what? A totally interactive online map you create and link to your own photos at the spot where they were taken. Now, come on, if it doesn’t sound that cool, then you’ve got to try it once and you’ll be totally hooked.

Step One

You start by going to the Organizer and switching it into Map mode by clicking on the Display button at the top-right of the Organizer and choosing Show Map (as shown here). This splits the Photo Browser, and shows your photos on the right side, and a Yahoo! map of North America on the left side. (By the way, since this whole Yahoo! Maps thing is Internet-based, I guess it goes without saying that you need to have an Internet connection, right? Right.)
