Lesson 3. Organizing Your Project > Modifying One Field of Metadata Quickly

Modifying One Field of Metadata Quickly

In some situations you may need to enter custom metadata for each image. This process can be tedious. Fortunately, Aperture provides a way to have the Metadata field you are working on stay active while you change images.

1.
Select the Singapore Sheets image in the Browser. Click the Metadata Tab and select General from the shortcut menu.

2.
Type Sheets on a clothesline in Singapore in the Caption field.

3.
Press Command-Right Arrow.

A new image is selected but the Caption field remains ready for you to type in.

4.
Type Lighthouse in the mist.

5.
Press Command-Right Arrow on the keyboard.

6.
Type Graphic Table Shadows.

Tip

Pressing Command plus any of the arrow keys will allow you to keep a field live while changing images.
