Chapter Three. Choosing the Scene and Subject

Chapter Three. Choosing the Scene and Subject

When beginning an artistic project in Adobe Photoshop CS4, you might be tempted to skip the relatively boring details of planning and preparation and dive right into the process of crafting your imagery. Photoshop compositing projects are like any other project: You need a clear objective and some semblance of a plan to achieve that objective in a reasonable amount of time with the tools and capabilities you have on hand. Two big parts of successful planning are choosing the right scene or backdrop for your imagery and choosing the subjects that will visually interact within that scene.
