9.8. Extract an Object from a Background

You can extract an object in your photo from its background by using the Magic Extractor tool. You define the object and background by brushing lines over them and then Photoshop Elements deletes the background automatically.

Using the Magic Extractor can be quicker than selecting the object with one of the Lasso tools, inverting the selection, and then deleting the background. For more on the Lasso tools, see Chapter 6.
