Places is probably my favorite feature of iPhoto –11. If you're a travel buff like me, you can see just how cool a feature it is. With Places, you can easily track all the locations where you took your photos on a large, interactive Google map. Simply select any pin on the map to view all the photos you took in that location and relive your travels all over again.
In this chapter, you'll learn how to navigate the Places map, how to manually add or remove Places locations, and how to easily create smart albums from within Places. But first, let's talk about how Places can automatically “know” where you photos were taken—and that's by using location data.
