Safari Books Online is a digital library providing on-demand subscription access to thousands of learning resources.
Posterous may have the easiest sign-up for a blog—for any online service, really—you’ve ever encountered. Just send an email, even one with a photo, to post@posterous.com, and Posterous will create your blog, post the message to your blog, and reply to you with an email about your new blog. From there, you’re able to set a password for your account, upload a profile photo, revise the URL for your blog (in the form http://yourname.posterous.com/), use your own domain name, and otherwise start to customize your blog (see Figure 8-17). Sound familiar? Yes, Posterous is a lot like Tumblr, with many of the same features. Given how easy it is to try Posterous (and Tumblr, too), you might consider giving both a workout. The choice is largely a matter of personal preference—though Tumblr has a real edge in the way its fans use its social-networking features (such as reblogging and liking other users’ posts).
