Should You Worry about Data Loss?

In the last two tutorials, you engaged in image-editing operations that removed data from your image. That really sounds like something you should be worried about, doesn’t it? In some cases, it is.

Fortunately, the type of data loss you just saw was not readily apparent onscreen—you had to make a fairly extreme adjustment and zoom in very close to the image—and the data loss was certainly far too slight to appear in a printout.
