The physical process of moving data from one place to another is usually straightforward. You take your media from the camera or whatever produced your data, bring it to your computer and copy the files over. The files might only be copied to a folder or might go straight into your cataloging or data asset management (DAM) system. If that is the case, you are already in good shape, but let’s look at some additional choices.
