There are times when the Auto Bracketing of your camera may not necessarily suit what you need. Perfect example: some Canon cameras only allow a maximum of three exposures in a bracket (not altogether bad, but not great). What if you wanted five frames? What if you wanted to do it on the cheap? Then what? If you have an iPod, iPhone, or iPad, go to iTunes and buy Photo Buddy. For $1.99, it does a host of photographic things that I feel are just invaluable. My favorite? The bracketing calculator. Enter your shutter speed, how many images you want, and what EV value, and it will churn out all of the settings you need to do it manually. Set your camera to Manual, dial the settings in yourself, and you’re all set.
