Getting the Star Filter Effect

There are special lens filters you can buy that can turn bright lights captured in your dusk and nighttime images into starbrights. However, if you don’t want to spring for the filter, you can get a similar effect right in-camera by just choosing an f-stop with the highest number you can, like f/22. This alone will usually give you that multi-point star effect without having to spend a dime.
