Daylight has many different qualities, and as cold and calculating as it might seem to divide them out and analyze them, it will absolutely help you to see light more intimately if you become a little analytical in your thinking about it. For example, in addition to the intensity of illumination that it provides, light has several other unique characteristics, including color, direction, and quality. Each of these characteristics is also greatly affected by things like weather, time of year, and, of course, time of day.
