268 Part III The Business of Digital Wedding Photography Do It All in RAW One of the absolute most important and basic concepts to remember about digital imaging is that when you need to use an image for any purpose whatsoever, you will achieve the absolute best results if you start with the image in RAW format and do all the necessary changes to the image while it is still in your RAW processing software. This is due to the fact that you have much more image data available in the RAW file than what you'll have in any other file format. Once the image is output to any other format, much of the power and flexibility of the RAW file is lost. Whether you need an image for your website, a magazine ad, a big wall portrait, or for an album page, it's always best to start out with the RAW file and do all your color correction, sharpening, noise reduction, cropping, and resizing to the RAW file, and then output the image to Photoshop with all those things already done.
