A Successful DIY Partnership

A successful DIY partnership between the documentarian and the bridal couple relies on extremely clear communication about expectations. (See Figure I.4.) The last thing anyone wants is to lose a friendship over a misunderstanding about what is actually a gift. And of course, many DIY-ers have grand ideas and little follow through after the event is shot—which can be incredibly frustrating for a couple waiting for their video or photo collection.
