Daylight

The word “photography” (when literally translated) means “light painting” [Greek: phos = light: graphein = write/paint]. This idea of painting with light is certainly valid in closeup photography. Light can create many disparate moods, and a change in lighting has a direct effect on the image statement. As a photographer you should always make an effort to control lighting and make necessary adjustments, because the camera “sees” a scene differently from the human eye. The film or sensor reproduces a relatively small range of colors; our own inner image interpretation corrects what we see, evens out contrasts, and also includes all surrounding circumstances including our own feelings.
