Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to get precise white balance results in any situation using the custom white balance function in your camera. This process will provide your camera sensor with the appropriate information to accurately balance the light hitting your WhiBal or gray card. Because your balancing tool will dictate the accuracy of your final image, it is important that the tool be as accurate as possible. If you are using a gray card, make sure that it is clean and free of stains, smudges, dirt, or particulate of any kind.
