C Contrast Low contrast 76 Contrast is the perceived difference between the dark and light parts of an image. It can also be thought of as the rate of change of tones from dark to light. High-contrast images comprise mainly darker tones and light tones; low-contrast images will comprise mainly mid-tones and will not show the tonal extremes of a high- contrast image.
