S > Split Tone - Pg. 234

S Split Tone 234 Split toning is when the highlights of an image are toned differently from the shadows. The commonest darkroom split toning is sepia/selenium toning. Digital split toning offers a far wider spectrum of colours and total control of the tone at which the split occurs but it is very easy to produce garish or visually unattractive images and many workers stick with classic darkroom `looks'.
