Section 4 landscape Landscape photography is a hugely popular genre; capturing the mood and aesthetic dynamics of a scene that inspires will undoubtedly present a unique challenge to the photographer. Developing both your technique and an eye for lighting conditions will help you to confidently record memorable landscapes in any season. A landscape does not move, but this makes it no less difficult a subject to shoot. Often the sheer vastness of a view may seem daunting and just too great to translate through the lens, but there are simple techniques that can be applied to make the whole experience more manageable and enjoyable and produce the results that you are aiming for. Light changes both with the seasons and throughout the day, and a good photographer will learn that different lighting conditions will provide different effects.
