Beat the Forgetting Curve
Even when you want to remember new information, you will often forget. That is because forgetting is a natural, predictable process, which begins as soon as learning takes place. New information is lost rapidly, especially in the first 20 minutes. If not reviewed, between 70% and 90% of new information can be lost within 24 hours. Psychologists call this pattern of rapid information loss the “forgetting curve.”
