Sales Communications 10 Sales Communications Sales communications are intended to persuade, inform, alert, or perform another sales-related function. However, they are not, strictly speaking, "direct mail." They are: Designed to generate an inquiry, present a quotation, follow up on a proposal, or perform some sales or other persuasive task. Personalized and sent to a single prospect or customer at a time. Often contrived because of their repeated use; a sales letter is often customized to a particular prospect from a prewritten template stored on computer.
